About This Programme

Offered under the Faculty of Health Sciences. All applicants must spend time observing a Physiotherapist to gain insight into the profession.

Admission Requirements

Required Subjects NSC levels

  • English Home Language or First Additional Language 5 60–69%
  • Mathematics 5 60–69%
  • Life Sciences AND/OR Physical Sciences 5 60–69%

Additional Requirements

  • All applicants to BSc Physiotherapy must spend time observing a Physiotherapist
  • Applicants must complete a job shadowing certificate of attendance (minimum 16 hours)
  • Only observation hours completed between 1 July 2025 and 31 July 2026 will be accepted

  • Applicants who fail to submit a certificate of attendance will not be considered for admission
  • Please note that from 2029 the Faculty may require applicants to all Health Sciences programmes to have completed both Life Sciences and Physical Sciences
Selection is not based on school leaving results only. A Composite Index (CI) is calculated with 60% weighting for academic results (five subjects) and 40% for National Benchmark Test scores.
