About This Programme

A three-year BSc degree combining Chemistry and Chemical Engineering majors. Unique to Wits — completing this degree alongside a BSc(Eng) in Chemical Engineering allows students to attain two degrees within five years.

  • English Home Language or First Additional Language 5 60–69%
  • Mathematics 6 70–79%
  • Physical Sciences 6 70–79%

Additional Requirements

  • NSC Bachelor's degree pass
  • NBT required by 31 October 2026
Programme code SBA04. Physical Sciences Level 6 required. Applicants with 40-42 points may be wait-listed. After this 3-year degree, students can complete the BSc(Eng) in Chemical Engineering in a further two years. Closing date 30 September 2026.
