About This Programme

A five-year degree in dental science covering oral health, dentistry, and oral surgery. Requires both Life Sciences and Physical Sciences.

Required Subjects

  • English Home Language or First Additional Language 5 60–69%
  • Mathematics 5 60–69%
  • Physical Sciences 5 60–69%
  • Life Sciences 5 60–69%

Additional Requirements

  • NSC Bachelor's degree pass
  • Both Life Sciences AND Physical Sciences required
  • NBT required by 17 August 2026
  • Job shadowing certificate required (minimum 16 hours, between 1 July 2025 and 31 July 2026)
Unique requirement: both Physical Sciences and Life Sciences are compulsory. Job shadowing certificate from a Dentist is mandatory; applicants without it will not be considered. Selection based on Composite Index. Closing date 30 June 2026.
