About This Programme

A four-year degree offered under the School of Education, Faculty of Humanities. Prepares students to teach Languages and Social Sciences in Senior Phase and FET settings.

Admission Requirements
Minimum APS score of 24 (excluding Life Orientation)

Required Subjects NSC levels

One of the following
  • First Language 3 40–49%
  • English (to major in English) 4 50–59%
  • English 4 50–59%
  • Two subjects from Geography, History, Sepedi, Tshivenda, Xitsonga 4 50–59%

Additional Requirements

  • Additional subjects to contribute to minimum APS total of 24

Life Orientation is excluded from the APS / score calculation.
