About This Programme

A four-year degree offered under the School of Education, Faculty of Humanities. Prepares students to teach in the Foundation Phase (Grades R–3) and related curriculum advisory and leadership roles.

Admission Requirements
Minimum APS score of 24 (excluding Life Orientation)

Required Subjects NSC levels

  • English 4 50–59%
One of the following
  • First Language 3 40–49%
  • First Language (higher requirement) 4 50–59%

Additional Requirements

  • Additional subjects to contribute to minimum APS total of 24
  • Admission also dependent on passing a selection test

Life Orientation is excluded from the APS / score calculation.
