About VUT

Vaal University of Technology (VUT) is one of the largest universities of technology in South Africa, situated in Vanderbijlpark, southern Gauteng. Originally founded as a College for Advanced Technical Education in 1966, it became a Technikon in 1979 and was granted university of technology status in 2004. With approximately 20,000 students drawn from across South Africa and 25 other countries, VUT offers programmes across four faculties in a highly industrialised region.
