About This Programme

This BEng covers power systems, digital electronics, computer hardware, telecommunications, and control systems, preparing graduates for careers in the electrical and computer engineering sectors.

Admission Requirements

Required Subjects

  • Mathematics 5 60–69%
  • Physical Sciences 5 60–69%
  • English Home Language or First Additional Language 4 50–59%

Additional Requirements

  • Preference is given to applicants with NSC exemption/endorsement who applied on time or before the closing date.
NSC Degree pass with English 4 and Mathematics 5 (minimum 65%) and Physical Sciences 5. Matric Exemption: English 'D' HG and Physical Sciences 'D' HG/'B' SG and Mathematics 'C' HG/'B' SG. See Note 2 for alternative qualification pathways.
