About This Programme

The BNurs Science prepares students for professional nursing practice, combining theoretical nursing education with clinical placements in hospitals and community health settings in the KwaZulu-Natal region.

Admission Requirements

Required Subjects

  • English Home Language or First Additional Language 4 50–59%
  • Life Sciences 4 50–59%
  • Mathematics or Mathematical Literacy 4 50–59%

Additional Requirements

  • First preference given to applicants who never previously studied at any other university.
NSC Degree pass with English, Life Sciences and Mathematics 4/Mathematical Literacy 6. Matric Exemption: 30 with English, Biology and Mathematics 'E' HG/'D' SG. Minimum Mathematical Literacy requirement is 60%.
