Bachelor of Music (4-year programme)

A four-year degree preparing music teachers, performers, orchestral musicians, and composers, requiring a practical audition and theory test as part of selection.

Required Subjects

• English Home Language or English First Additional Language 5 60–69%
• Music (Grade VII Practical and Grade V Theory, Unisa/Royal Schools/Trinity or comparable) 4 50–59%

Additional Requirements

• Video of a 15-minute practical performance at Grade VII standard (at least 60%).
• Online theoretical test at Grade V standard (at least 60%).
• Final admission confirmed with APS of at least 28 in Grade 12.
• Admissions take place in July, September and on an ad-hoc basis.
