A Bachelor of Education degree preparing educators focusing on high school teaching (Grade 8-12) with a specialisation in Commerce Education: Economics.

Admission Requirements
Minimum APS score of 28 (excluding Life Orientation)

Required Subjects NSC levels

One of the following
  • English Home Language 5 60–69%
  • English Additional Language 6 70–79%
  • Mathematics 4 50–59%

Additional Requirements

  • Mathematical Literacy not applicable
  • Technical Mathematics not applicable
  • A valid National Senior Certificate (NSC) with admission for degree purposes
  • A Bachelor's degree endorsement does not guarantee admission to the BEd
  • Preliminary admission is based on final Grade 11 results
  • Final admission is based on final Grade 12 results

Life Orientation is excluded from the APS / score calculation.

Minimum APS of 28, excluding Life Orientation. English Home Language 5 (60%+) OR Additional Language 6 (70%+). Mathematics level 4 (50%+) required; Mathematical Literacy and Technical Mathematics not applicable. NCV applicants: minimum NCV Level 4 with three fundamental subjects 60-69% including English, and three vocational subjects 70-79%. NASCA/SC(a) applicants follow Senate Discretionary Approval process.
