About This Programme

A four-year professional law degree with 120 places. The primary route to qualifying as a legal practitioner in South Africa. Requires NBT AQL results.

Admission Requirements

Required Subjects

  • English or Afrikaans Home Language 4 50–59%
  • English or Afrikaans First Additional Language 4 50–59%

Additional Requirements

  • NSC aggregate of at least 70% excluding Life Orientation
  • Write NBT AQL before 31 July
  • English or Afrikaans Home Language 60% OR Afrikaans or English First Additional Language 70%
  • If taking Economics: Mathematics 60%
Limited to 120 students. Selection based on Grade 11 or Grade 12 results and NBT results in an 80:20 ratio. NBT AQL required before 31 July.
