Higher Certificate in Music

Offered by the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences. Can prepare students for the Diploma in Practical Music or other music degree programmes provided all admission requirements are met.

Additional Requirements

• A National Senior Certificate is required
• In the main instrument (or in singing) at least a practical standard in classical music equivalent to the Grade V/VI examination and theoretical knowledge equivalent to any of the examining bodies' Grade III/IV theory examination
• Candidates must be available for an audition at the Department of Music in Stellenbosch. Further information at auditions@sun.ac.za
