About This Programme

A biological sciences programme focusing on the life sciences relevant to the human body. Students are encouraged to follow up with an Honours degree for professional registration.

Admission Requirements
Minimum aggregate of 65% for the NSC (excluding Life Orientation)

  • Physical Sciences 60%

  • Mathematics (standard) 60%
  • Mathematics (if Physics as first-year subject) 70%

Biology Biology with Psychology
Mathematics requirement is 60% or 70% depending on choice of first-year Mathematics and Physics. If Mathematics and Physics are taken as first-year subjects, Mathematics must be 70%; if Mathematics (Bio) and Physics (Bio) are taken, Mathematics must be 60%. Selection mark (SM) = (Mathematics x 2) + 5 other subjects (of which at least one must be English or Afrikaans, excluding Life Orientation) + 7.
