About This Programme

Extended Curriculum Programme variant of BEng (Electrical and Electronic), requiring one extra year of study. A limited number of applicants who meet the minimum requirements of the BEng ECPs will be selected.

Admission Requirements
Minimum aggregate of 70% for the NSC (excluding Life Orientation)

Required Subjects percentage

  • Mathematics 70%
  • Physical Sciences 60%
One of the following
  • English Home Language 50%
  • English First Additional Language 60%

Additional Requirements

  • Selection considers the selection score and the socio-economic status of applicants to give preference to candidates from underserved educational backgrounds
