About This Programme

Offered by the Faculty of Economic and Management Sciences under Degree Programmes for Professional Registration. To become an Actuary (Fellow of the Actuarial Society of South Africa) you need to pass the fifteen examinations of the professional body and have sufficient work experience.

Admission Requirements
Minimum aggregate of 80% for the NSC (excluding Life Orientation)

Required Subjects percentage

  • Mathematics 80%
  • Home Language 60%
One of the following
  • English First Additional Language 75%

Additional Requirements

  • If the Home Language (in the requirement above) is not English, then also English First Additional Language 75% is required
