About This Programme

This degree programme trains professional nurses registered with the South African Nursing Council (SANC), covering clinical nursing science, midwifery, and community health nursing.

Admission Requirements

Required Subjects

  • English Home Language / First Additional Language 3 40–49%
  • Life Sciences 4 50–59%
  • Mathematics 4 50–59%

Additional Requirements

  • Mathematics Literacy accepted at level 6
  • Additional requirements as per SANC clinical placement requirements
Closing date: 30 September. Students are required to undergo clinical training/placements at sites outside Durban including rural KZN. Placements are compulsory and non-negotiable. Indumiso Campus only.
