About This Programme

This degree trains diagnostic radiographers in medical imaging, X-ray, ultrasound, CT, and MRI technologies, with professional registration through HPCSA.

Admission Requirements

Required Subjects

  • English 4 50–59%
  • Mathematics 4 50–59%
  • Physical Science 4 50–59%
  • Life Sciences 4 50–59%

Additional Requirements

  • Two additional 20-credit subjects at level 3 (not more than one language)
Matric results and ranking the programme as 1st or 2nd choice will be used for ranking. Mathematical Literacy and Technical Mathematics will NOT be accepted as substitutes for Mathematics. Technical Science will NOT be accepted as a substitute for Physical Science. Closing date: 31 August. Students are required to undergo clinical training/placements which may be in rural KZN.
