Options for prospective students who missed the late applications deadline

Do not qualify or not interested in any the courses or universities that are still open? Well, there are few options which you can consider to make year 2024 worthwhile.

  1. Plan for 2025 academic year early: Do not allow history to repeat itself. You could not apply for the 2024 academic year in time, this year apply for the 2025 academic year early. Research university programmes, opening dates, closing dates, check minimum requirements, save up for application fees and use reminders to stay on track.
  2. Volunteer/Job shadowing: While preparing for the 2025 academic year, consider volunteering to organisations that align with your passions. Already figured out which career path you want to follow? consider job shadowing in your gap year. All this will give you skills and knowledge to succeed in your course at university in 2025.
  3. Do a short course: Enrol for a short course to gain knowledge and skills. Short courses such as Microsoft word, excel, PowerPoint may be beneficial in your first year in university. For more ideas on what to do in your gap year click HERE.
