About the Ubuhlebezwe Local Municipality Bursary

The purpose of the bursary is to help the municipality meet its demand for qualified workers in key fields such as urban planning, geographic information systems, agriculture, civil engineering, finance management and accounting creating a capable labour force in the area for upcoming growth. 

FIELD OF STUDY

The bursary programme is open to students who are pursuing or want to pursue an undergraduate qualification in the following fields:

• Accounting 
• Agriculture 
• Civil Engineering 
• Finance Management 
• Geographical Information System 
• Town Planning 

REQUIREMENTS FOR THE UBUHLEBEZWE LOCAL MUNICIPALITY BURSARY

To qualify for the Ubuhlebezwe Local Municipality Bursary you must meet the following requirements:

• Must be a South African citizen 
• Must have completed Matric 
• Must be studying or intend to study towards a qualification in one of the fields listed above 
• Must be a current beneficiary of Ubuhlebezwe Municipality bursary program 
• Must be studying or intend to study at a South African accredited University
• Must reside in the Ubuhlebezwe Municipality region (Kwazulu Natal)
• Priority will be given to applicants studying qualifications that are in the Municipality Priority Skills.

• Prescribed Books
• Meals
• Tuition Fees

UBUHLEBEZWE LOCAL MUNICIPALITY BURSARY REQUIRED DOCUMENTS:

• Certified copy of South African ID
• Certified copy of Matric certificate/statement 
• Proof of acceptance for 2024  academic year
• Fee Structure and the banking details of the institution 

How to apply for the Ubuhlebezwe Local Municipality Bursary - 2024

To apply for the Ubuhlebezwe Local Municipality Bursary bursary, applicants can download the application form HERE or collect it at the Municipal between 08:00 - 16:30 (Monday- Friday). Complete the form and attach all the required documents and submit the bursary application form by:

Note: Applications forms MUST be stamped by the Ward Councillor. 

CLOSING DATE:
