About the TFG Data Science and Leadership Fellowship Bursary programme.
The Data Science and Leadership Fellowship was established for young South Africans, the aim of the programme was to accelerate the development of one of the most rare and critical skills. TFG specifically focused their funding for this field because they believe that data scientists are important in making informed decisions for a better future, through this programme they want to build a strong pipeline of data specialists for TFG’s business and South Africa.
FIELD OF STUDY
The bursary programme is open to students who are pursuing a postgraduate qualification in the following field:
- Data Science or related field
REQUIREMENTS FOR THE TFG DATA SCIENCE AND LEADERSHIP FELLOWSHIP BURSARY PROGRAMME.
To qualify for the TFG Data Science and Leadership Fellowship bursary programme, you must meet the following requirements:
- You must be a South African citizen.
- You must be in your first or second year of study towards either a research or coursework Masters Degree in Data Science.
- You must demonstrate financial need.
- You must be academically exceptional.
- You must demonstrate high levels of innovation, creativity and leadership.
- You must be studying or accepted to study at a reputable tertiary institution in South Africa.
TFG DATA SCIENCE AND LEADERSHIP FELLOWSHIP BURSARY COVERS:
- Tuition
- Living and Meal allowances
- Study equipment
- Event hosted at the TFG Headquarters in Cape Town.
TFG DATA SCIENCE AND LEADERSHIP FELLOWSHIP BURSARY REQUIRED DOCUMENTS:
- Certified copy of applicant's ID
- Certified copy of full academic record.
- Proof of combined household income
- Proof of acceptance/registration.
- Clear head and shoulders photo of yourself.
