NWU is now accepting applications for the 2025 academic year

As of 01 April 2024, North West University is accepting applications for the 2025 academic year. Prospective students are encouraged to apply online through the North West University website. Applications will remain open until 31 August 2024.

Whether you're interested in pursuing undergraduate or postgraduate studies, NWU offers different study programmes across various disciplines. From agriculture, engineering, science, health science, humanities, law and Management. These study programmes are offered at Mahikeng campus, Potchefstroom campus and Vanderbijlpark campus.

North West University (NWU) Required Documents

To apply successfully at NWU you need to submit the following documents:

certified copy of your identity document
Certified copy of your Senior Certificate/National Senior Certificate or equivalent
Certified Grade 11 report (if you are currently in grade 12)
Your grade 12 June report (if you are currently in grade 12)
Completed Undertaking Form (Download the undertaking form HERE)

If you have applied before at NWU, enter your student number & pin to continue with your application
If you are a new student, click on the "create new university number" button
Fill in your personal details
Thereafter, you will be allocated a student number and pin
Log in with a student number and pin you created.
Complete all the required fields. Use the yearbooks to obtain more information about the qualifications, modes of delivery and curricula.
Upload supporting documents and make sure that the documents you submit are certified and scanned.
Submit application and ensure that you press the "Submit application" button when you have finished. Incomplete applications will not be processed by the University.
