MUT (Mangosuthu University of Technology) 2025 late applications are officially open from 01 November 2024. Individuals who were not able to apply in 2024 for the 2025 academic year are now given an opportunity to submit their applications online through CAO for 2025 admission.

How to apply at MUT for 2025 late applications online

 Step by Step Guide on How to Apply Online through CAO at MUT for 2025 late applications

All first year applications are submitted through the Central Applications Office (CAO). This is a simplified way of applying for more than one programme and more than one institution using one application form, and paying a single application fee.

Step 1: Visit the CAO website: www.cao.ac.za and click on the apply tab, then click on apply now.

Step 2: Enter your ID number or your Cao number.

Step 3: Enter your personal details then proceed, you will then get your Cao number and password 

Step 4: Capture your next of kin details 

Step 5: Enter your grade 11 results or your grade 12 results 

Step 6: Choose the courses you want to apply for (you can choose up to 6 choices) 

Step 7: Save your Cao number, password and the number to pay the application fee) 

Step 8: Upload the required documents. After submitting your documents you can exit the application process. 

 

How does CAO work?

CAO allows an applicant to apply online for up to six programme choices at any University, University of Technology or any partnering Private Colleges in Kwa-Zulu Natal. The applicant can pay their late administration fee online or they could pay via an EasyPay outlet. Through CAO an applicant can upload documents at a later stage by logging back into their profile using their unique CAO number and password issued to them when they apply.

  • The late administration fee is R470 for SA Citizens and R580 for Non-SA Citizens.
  • The CAO office does not accept cash. 
  • The payment reference is your CAO Reference Number.

Does MUT accept late applications?

Does MUT accept late applications? Yes, MUT does accept late applications but late applications are only considered if there are still spaces available in the programmes concerned. MUT can only accommodate a limited number of students per course. 

What is the late application fee for MUT 2025?

The late application fee for MUT (Mangosuthu University of Technology) in 2025 is R470 for SA Citizens and R580 for Non-SA Citizens. You can pay the late application fee online or through EasyPay at Pick n Pay, Checkers, Shoprite, Woolworths or any store displaying the EasyPay sign. Card payments can also be made at the CAO's office. The CAO office does not accept cash. The payment reference is your CAO Reference Number. 

Does MUT allow walk ins in 2025?

MUT does not allow walk-ins for late applications in 2025. All late applications should be submitted online on the CAO website.

How to track MUT late application status

Visit the CAO website and click on check application status tab. You will then be required to enter your CAO or ID number. After entering your ID or CAO number you will be able to see your application status. If you have applied using a form, monitor your emails for feedback. Keep in mind that MUT late applications will only be considered if there are still spaces available in a particular faculty. Keep an eye to the MUT and CAO websites for updates regarding late applications.
