About the Letsatsi Borutho Trust Bursary:

The Letsatsi Borutho Trust bursary offers qualifying individuals an opportunity to study further at South African tertiary education or training institutions including public or private TVET colleges, universities of technology or academic universities. Through this bursary programme the Letsatsi Borutho Trust hopes to positively impact the lives of those who come from the communities they operate in and consequently, contribute to the betterment of those communities.  

FIELD OF STUDY

The bursary programme is open to students who want to pursue an undergraduate qualification (NQF Level 6) in the following fields:

• Technical programmes
• Skills training
• Training programmes

NB: The bursary is open to those who would like to study a national diploma or degree as well. 

REQUIREMENTS FOR THE LETSATSI BORUTHO TRUST BURSARY PROGRAMME

To qualify for the Letsatsi Borutho Trust Bursary, you must meet the following requirements:

• You must be a South African citizen.
• You must be reside within 50km radius of the Droogfontein Solar Power plant (Kimberley, Northern Cape). 
• You must currently be in matric or completed matric or completed NTC. 
• You must be a strong academic performer.
• You must demonstrate financial need. 
• You must be accepted to study at a registered and recognised South African public/private tertiary education or training institution.

LETSATSI BORUTHO TRUST BURSARY COVERS:

• Accommodation.
• Examination fees.
• Living expenses.
• Study materials. 
• Tuition.
• Registration fees

LETSATSI BORUTHO TRUST BURSARY REQUIRED DOCUMENTS:

• Acceptance letter or proof of registration
• Certified copy of ID.
• Certified copy of your latest matric results/prelims OR highest grade completed report.
• Proof of house hold income
• Proof of residence.
