North West University (NWU) Distance Learning
North West University offers distance learning to some of their undergraduate and postgraduate courses. Distance learning is perfect for individuals who are working and unable to attend classes on campus full time. NWU offer these courses online to accommodate everyone across South Africa.
NWU does offer a four year bachelor of nursing course. The nursing course is offered at Mahikeng and Potchefstroom campuses. You need an aps of 25 for nursing at North West University and the following minimum requirements:
National Senior Certificate OR an equivalent qualification
Physical Sciences OR Mathematics OR Life Sciences: Level 4
English OR Afrikaans at least level 4
APS: 25
Does NWU offer teaching?
NWU does offer a four year bachelor of Education course. The teaching course is offered in all NWU three campuses. You need an aps of 26 for teaching at North West University and the following minimum requirements:
National Senior Certificate OR an equivalent qualification
Bachelor pass in matric
English HL: Level 4
English FAL: Level 5
APS: 26

NWU does offer a four year bachelor of pharmacy course. The pharmacy course is offered at Potchefstroom campus. You need an aps of 32 for pharmacy at North West University and the following minimum requirements:

Does NWU have bridging courses?
Yes, NWU offers bridging courses through its University Preparatory Programme (UnivPrep). The UnivPrep is a one-year preparatory programme that is designed to help students who do not meet the minimum admission requirements for degree study at NWU.
After successfully completing the University Preparatory programme, students will then apply for the formal degree study based on their UnivPrep results. University Preparatory Programme (UnivPrep) at NWU is offered in both full-time and part-time (distance learning) modes of delivery.
