ARUP EDUCATION TRUST BURSARY - 2025

About Arup Education Trust (AET) Bursary:

Established in 2011, the Arup Education Trust enhances the quality of lives of historically disadvantaged individuals through education. The Arup Education Trust owns 30% of Arup (Pty) Limited, which is the corporate entity of the Arup group. Arup is the creative force at the heart of many of the world's most prominent projects in the built environment. The Trust is committed to the advancement of women through education and at least 50% of each year's beneficiaries must be women.

The Arup Education Trust aims to uplift South African communities by empowering young individuals with the financial means to access quality tertiary education. By supporting students who demonstrate both academic potential and financial need, the trust contributes to the creation of a more equitable and skilled workforce in the country.

 

The Arup Education Trust bursary programme is open to students who want OR are pursuing undergraduate qualification in the the following fields:

  • Bachelor of Built Environment: Architecture
  • Bachelor of Built Environment: Construction Studies
  • Bachelor of Built Environment: Engineering
  • Bachelor of Built Environment: Quantity Surveying
  • Bachelor of Built Environment: Town Planning

 

REQUIREMENTS FOR THE ARUP EDUCATION TRUST BURSARY

To qualify for the Arup Education Trust Bursary you must meet the following requirements:

  • You must be a South African citizen
  • You must have completed Matric OR in matric
  • You must have a solid academic record if you are a university student
  • You must be studying or want to study towards an undergraduate qualification, within one of the fields of study listed above
  • You must be studying or want to study at a recognised and accredited institution of higher learning in South Africa (University or University of Technology)
  • You must have a total combined household income of LESS than R30 000 per month
  • You must be from a designated group per South Africa’s B-BBEE codes (Black African, Coloured, Indian/ Asian, disabled)

 

ARUP EDUCATION TRUST BURSARY COVERS:

  • Tuition fees,
  • Textbooks and other study materials
  • Accommodation
  • living expenses.
     

ARUP EDUCATION TRUST BURSARY REQUIRED DOCUMENTS:

  • Your certified ID Document
  • Certified copy of Matric certificate
  • Certified copy latest results (if currently in matric)
  • Certified copy of Full academic record if already a university student
  • Proof of tertiary registration
  • Recent university tuition statement from the University
  • Parents or guardians proof of household income (latest payslips if employed, affidavit if unemployed, SASSA grant slip if applicable)
  • Documents should be in PDF and less than 2mb
