Please note that there will be no walk ins allowed for late applications in January at University of Johannesburg. Anyone who wants to apply at UJ for late applications can apply online in the UJ online system.
From 20 January to 26 January. Prospective students can apply for courses that still have space or change a course if they have applied the previous year.
When doing the late application you need to submit your UJ student number, ID number or your grade 12 examination number. Then the system will automatically verify whether you qualify for any course where there's still space available. Enter the selected number and click on submit. Verify your personal details and click on confirm.
If you have not applied at uj the system will indicate whether you qualify for any available course and if you have previously applied at uj the system will indicate your final status for the courses you have a applied for.
If you are happy with your current application status click on registration information to get all the details regarding registrations. If you are not happy with your current course click on change course. Courses that you qualify for and still have space available will be displayed per faculty
Please select your preferred faculty. A list of available courses within the faculty will be displayed, select the course you are interested in and if you are happy with your selection click on submit an enquiry.
if you are not happy with your selection then click on make a different selection to restart the process. Enter your cell phone number and click on submit. should you experience any problems you're welcome to contact the UJ call centre for assistance or use their online chats facility on their website. Please note that this is only an electronic enquire system and uj will formally communicate by email or SMS with you, whether you will be accepted to register for your enquiry

Required Documents and Instructions
Certified and individually scanned documents if completed Grade 12.
Document upload requirements when applying online (not applicable to applicants currently in grade 12 or internal transfer/Senior applicants):
All documents must be certified
Eensure that the scanned file is a maximum of 512KB
All documents are scanned in any of the following types – tiff, pdf, jpg or gif
Each document must be scanned and uploaded as separate attachments
Alternatively, documents can be emailed to [email protected] with the provisional reference/student number noted in the subject line of the email.

UJ STEPS TO APPLY ONLINE
Step 1: Click here to apply, accept the application rules and click "continue"
Step 2: Capture your biographical information and click "next" to proceed with your application;
Step 3: Capture results details then add subjects and click "next";
Step 4: Capture educational institution detail and click "next";
Step 5: Capture academic application details (choose 2 choices/programmes you wish to apply for), click on "add qualification" and thereafter click "next";
Step 6: Verify/Check your application details then click "continue";
Step 7: Create your 5 digit PIN (e.g 24689), click "I accept"(twice) checkbox thereafter click "Submit Application";
Step 8: Upload your documents, select "yes" on the dropdown list if all your documents are ready to be uploaded and then click "next";
Step 9: Click "Load/View Document" >> "Upload document" >> "Choose/Browse file" go to the folder where your documents are stored, choose the relevant document and click "save";
Step 10: Once all documents have been uploaded click "complete upload";
Step 11: Confirmation Page, end of application

Re-applicants
Login with your student number and pin to do readmission at UJ. If you forgot your pin then select “Request a PIN” using your existing UJ student number. A PIN will be sent to you via your registered email. You will be able to choose two study choices and it's your duty to ensure that you qualify for those courses.
Transfer applicants
Applicants transferring from another university/tertiary institution are required to declare their previous studies when applying as well as upload a full academic record/transcript and degree/diploma certificate (if applicable).
