UFS Higher Certificate Courses Now Open for 2025

Don't Meet UFS minimum requirements for Your Dream Degree in 2025? No Worries! The University of the Free State (UFS) is now accepting applications for its Higher Certificate study programmes for the 2025 academic year. These programmes are designed to help students who don't currently meet the minimum admission requirements for bachelor's degrees at UFS.

University of Free State Higher Certificate Courses 

Do you have an AP of 18 to 24? In that case, you can get access to Higher Certificate study programmes if you 
meet the minimum requirements of the admission points. This gateway to education provides you with an opportunity to access studies in mainstream programmes after the successful completion of your Higher Certificate. 

During your access year, you will get more than just academic information. UFS address a wider scope of needs to help you prepare for higher-education studies. In the Skills and Competencies in Lifelong Learning course, you will learn skills to help you with problem-solving, self-assertiveness, and other generic competencies. An Academic Literacy course will also improve your academic reading and writing skills.

You are required to submit your application for higher certificate courses online through the UFS official website. You can do so by following the simple steps below:

1. Online Application: Head to the UFS online application portal HERE
2. Account Creation: Create an account if you don't have one already. You'll need a mobile phone number and a valid email address for this.
3. Application Details: Fill out the online application form. Be sure to choose "Undergraduate" under level of study and "Higher Certificate (your chosen field)" under type of qualification.
