- Diploma in Adult and Community Education and Training (Specialisation in Civil Technology)
- Diploma in Adult and Community Education and Training (Specialisation in Electrical)
- Postgraduate Certificate in Education in Further Education and Training Teaching
Requirements of teaching courses that have space at TUT for 2025 late applications
- Diploma in Adult and Community Education and Training (Specialisation in Civil Technology)
To apply for the diploma and community education and training specialising with Civil Technology, you need to have passed with a national senior certificate with a bachelor’s degree or a diploma endorsement, or an equivalent qualification, with the following critical achievements.
APS: 22
English: Level 4
Engineering Graphics Design OR Mathematics OR Technical Mathematics: Level 3
Civil Technology OR Physical Science OR Technical Science: Level 3
Additional Language: Level 3
Assessment procedure
No further assessment will be done. Applicants who achieve the minimum APS of 22 will be considered until the programme complement is full. Acceptance is subject to available capacity according to the Student Enrolment Plan Once a programme is full, a waiting list will be in place to provide an opportunity for applicants to fill places of those who did not register on time.

To apply for the diploma and community education and training specialising with Civil Technology, you need to have passed with a national senior certificate with a bachelor’s degree or a diploma endorsement, or an equivalent qualification, with the following critical achievements.

Postgraduate Certificate in Education in Further Education and Training Teaching
To apply for the postgraduate certificate in education in further education and training teaching, you need to have an appropriate diploma or a degree that includes sufficient disciplinary learning in appropriate academic fields to enable the development of teaching subjects in the Further Education and Training Phase.
The specialisation-specific requirements are as follows:
Agriculture: Diploma/Bachelor's Degree in any agriculture-related field.
Arts: Diploma/Bachelor's Degree in any arts-related field.
Economics and Management: Diploma/Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Studies, or Management.
Languages: Diploma /Bachelor's Degree in any language-related field.
Physical Education (Sport): Diploma/Bachelor's Degree in any sport-related field.
Hospitality and Tourism: Diploma/Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality or Tourism related field.
Selection criteria:
Selection is based on an assessment by a departmental selection panel. Applicants showing academic potential (60% average for the previous qualification), and who completed the previous qualification in a satisfactory time frame will be admitted into the programme, until the prescribed student enrolment numbers for the programme have been reached. Acceptance is subject to available capacity according to the Student Enrolment Plan (SEP)
Here's how to apply for teaching courses that are open at TUT for 2025 late applications
Step 1: Visit the TUT website HERE.
Step 2: Click on the “Apply Now” tab
Step 3: Accept the application rules and click "continue"
Step 4: Capture your biographical information and click "next" to proceed with your application;
Step 5: Capture your next of kin information and click next to proceed with your application
Step 6: Capture results details then add subjects and click "next";
Step 7: Capture educational institution detail and click "next";
Step 8: Capture academic application details (choose 2 choices/programmes you wish to apply for), click on "add qualification" and thereafter click "next";
Step 9: Verify/Check your application details then click "continue";
Step 10: Create your 5 digit PIN (e.g 24689), click "I accept"(twice) checkbox thereafter click "Submit Application";
Step 11: Upload your documents, select "yes" on the dropdown list if all your documents are ready to be uploaded and then click "next";
Step 12: Click "Load/View Document" >> "Upload document" >> "Choose/Browse file" go to the folder where your documents are stored, choose the relevant document and click "save";
Step 13: Once all documents have been uploaded click "complete upload";
Step 14: Confirmation Page, end of application
